Site/Project Manager

We are currently supporting a specialist roofing contractor in the appointment of an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager to oversee delivery of a built up felt roofing and cladding package on a live project in Barry, Cardiff. This is a hands on site leadership role focused on programme delivery, coordination of labour, and maintaining strong communication with the client team throughout the works.

Our client is a well established specialist contractor operating across the roofing and building envelope sector, delivering refurbishment and new build solutions on commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

They have built a strong reputation for quality delivery, reliable programme performance, and maintaining long term relationships with major clients and principal contractors.

The Role

• Manage day to day site operations on a live roofing and cladding project
• Oversee installation of built up felt roofing systems
• Coordinate labour and subcontractors on site
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Prepare and implement RAMS and lead toolbox talks
• Maintain site records and progress reporting
• Act as the main site contact for the client team
• Liaise with the visiting Operations Manager supporting the project weekly
• Monitor quality standards across installation activities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience delivering built up felt roofing projects
• Strong background managing roofing or building envelope packages on site
• Confident running site activities independently day to day
• Experience preparing RAMS and delivering toolbox talks
• Comfortable coordinating labour and subcontractors
• Strong communication skills when working with clients and delivery teams
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS card required
• First Aid qualification preferred
